An interesting use case of Faux Patina on the indexes, the "Faux Patina Leather" variation mimic's the Radium Burn that caused the original A-11 dials to have their indexes turn yellow over the last 80 years. This design therefore looks quite literally like a 1943 A-11 that survived until today without a scratch.
The matte black dial with faux-patina indexes features white contouring to provide superb legibility in all conditions; just like the originals. The funky minute & hour indexes throw back to a time where these watches were literally hand painted. The use of triple-printing on the hour indexes mimics the paint thickness that a 1940s paint brush would have left on the dial. Having traced from an original A-11, the indexes have kept as strong a character as an original would have had.
The case is probably where we've had the most creative intent. The main case body is sandblasted to remove any shine as any self-respecting field watch would. However, as a reference to the original shiny Chrome Plating most A-11s had back in the day, we've opted for shiny lugs.
The Brown Leather strap balances out the distinctly Field aesthetic and bring the entire watch into a more versatile look. Wearable in both a rugged environment or, when the situation calls for little more balance.
